My absolute favorite artist right now is Shintaro Kago. He’s a Japanese Manga artist and is making some of the most fucked up and innovative things I have ever seen. I think if I had these kind of comics instead of X-Men when I was growing up I would have become a comic book addict.
Ever since I stumbled upon Abstraction when I was browsing the cesspit that is 4chan, I’ve been obsessed with his work. Recently he has made available original drawings to buy, and I sorely wish I had the dough to spill on those.
You’ll find the traditional chopped up naked young girls in his collection but there are so many more original and interesting things. One of my favorites is what looks like noodles being forced out of a building that’s acting as a pasta maker.
I’m hoping to come across some cash to at least order one of his comics soon.
